... we're enjoying seeing how God is orchestrating every detail of our journey together. Just 4 weeks ago -June 27- Eric & I stood before God, family, and friends and vowed our love and devotion to one another as husband and wife. It was a wonderful and exciting day that marked the beginning of this new part of our journey with God together.
Eric has been coming to Jerusalem for the past 2 years and I came just a year ago to live with, learn about, and volunteer among the people of that land. Though we were drawn to GO by our own individual journeys with God, it was in fact God Himself who had it all planned out for us to meet and fall in love in Jerusalem. As Pastor Cleckler said, only God could have taken "an Alabama girl & a Georgia boy" who grew up just over an hour from each other and introduce them in a land thousands of miles away from their hometowns. So, we joyfully thank God for His provision and guidance as we move forward into this new and exciting season of our lives.
Since the wedding, we've been on a mission here in the US to raise support for our upcoming year in Jerusalem. We're leaving toward the end of August, which does not leave much more time state-side. We entirely trust that God is providing for every single need! Our current status is we have enough money to buy both of our round-trip plane tickets and to possibly live for a month or 2 in Jerusalem, but beyond that, we are still lacking as of now. We have several speaking engagements planned over the next few weeks, where we will be informing our brothers and sisters in Christ of what we know God is calling us into as well as presenting donation & pledge cards for those interested in supporting us. We're in need of your prayers to finish raising what we will need over the next year.
